Forum: web Subject: Please Remove Media Education Films "Killing Us Softly 3" and "Killing Us Softly 4"

Hi there,

I've noticed that you've put our films, Killing Us Softly 3 and Killing Us Softly 4, on your Internet Archive.

I am glad that you like our films and find them to be important. I am sure that you want to share the message of our films with your viewers, which I support. I can also tell from your page that you care deeply about many of the same issues that we do.

However, we simply cannot have our films available in full online. MEF is a nonprofit organization and we rely exclusively on sales of current films to fund production of future films. Having the films available in full online really hurts us financially, as many people watch the film on your site instead of purchasing the DVD from us.

I kindly ask that you remove our films in full from your site. If you like, you may post the trailer for this film on your channel. We've posted trailers for all of our films on our YouTube channel and you may re-post them from there. In this way, you can help us spread the word about the important messages in our films in a way that is supportive of, rather than harmful to, our organization. If this content is not removed by next week, we'll have to submit you to a content verification system which may result in negative consequences for your archive. We certainly don't want that to happen, so thanks in advance for removing the content yourself.

Thank you,

A quick and gentle removal. It certainly shows the Archive responds when asked.
The threat of "content verification system" is a bit of an eye opener. Go to the utub site and check it out. A selected group can decide if they want others to post. "Only certain content owners will qualify" Don't meet the criteria, can't touch this.;answer=2797370&rd=1

And review the site below for another opinion.
